Gee Thanks Mom, Those Things Sure Help With My Diet

I don't personally do the grocery shopping for our home, 
so I have no say over the things that are bought.

Sure I can ask for specific things that I would like to have around maybe some fresh fruits or vegetables (which are currently lacking in this home).

Well these are some of the things in my kitchen right at this very moment that are beckoning me.

"Come to us, it's midnight and you are so very hungry and thirsty!"
"No" I say to these deliciously loathsome snack foods. "You are not good for my IRWTSMN diet."

Barq's Root Beer is my kryptonite.

It has chocolate mousse and a chocolate cookie crust under that cream. I want to cry :(
PS: None of those missing pieces are from me, no really, I'm serious!

I would get one healthy part out of this snack. Milk, well only the milk that gets soaked up in the cookie.
Like I would ever drink milk that was dunked in.

I could eat the whole bag in one sitting, but I will not touch them.
My brother and his friends can eat all the chips in the house. I don't want them *sigh*

Really 2 Boxes of Fruity Pebbles, 2 Boxes of Cocoa puff's (one is generic)
MutherEffing Cookie Crisp, I used to beg and beg for these cereals, when I was 5, now I only eat the Cheerios

Look's innocent enough, raisins are healthy and it even has 50% more of them, sadly this bread is not.

I'm trying my damnedest to stick to my IRWTSMN diet plan. It's working but it is very hard to stay away from these delicious food offerings. It also doesn't help when my BFF calls me up, she can break my resolve with one conversation and this is one we just had two days ago
BFF- "Let's get Tastee Freeze" (local ice cream place, that rocks, btw)
Me- "No I'm on this 'If Rob Were to See Me Naked' diet."
BFF- "WTF is that, you can't be serious, let's get ice cream it's 98% Fat Free!"
(It doesn't help that she's a twi-hater and doesn't get the appeal of the pretay! Ugh!!!)

I am going to be honest here and tell you all how that conversation ended. Me with a strawberry sunday practically licking the cup clean and by practically I mean literally, I'm so ashamed.

I feel my resolve crumbling every day but then I see this

And I think to myself, "Self, Rob is right step away from the Root Beer and Pie and everything will be alright."

The ice cream was one slip up and now the above pic of Rob is placed strategically above my calendar so I will see it on my way to the fridge or on my way out the door and with the power of Rob I shall get through.

FA (fat ass) Goals

I would like to thank the Twilight Junkies girls for inviting us over here!  
This should be a great partnership with our diet plan...IRWTSMN™.  

Have you asked yourself that "what if" question today?  
Well, if not, then you should.  
It will make you drop that donut, push away from the pasta, and move your ass.  
It's a fail proof way of becoming a tad less voluptuous.  
Trix and I have been using this method for a while now and if used consistently, 
it really does work!  
I've made some motivational pictures for myself.  
I'll share a few of them with you today...

Please feel free to use these in anyway you see fit.  Review mirror in your car.  Refrigerator (if you can get by with hubby frowned on this idea).  Bathroom mirror.  Desk at work. Etc, Etc.

Don't forget about your goals for the small or big as they may be.

My individual goals are:
1. Drink more water.
2.  Eat out less for lunch.

Simple enough.  Hopefully, I can succeed.

I've been so bad the last month. Luckily I have only put back on 2 lbs. Monday I started journeling what I eat again and have worked out the last two nights. I really want to loss the last 10 lbs to get to my goal I set at the beginning of the year.

June 11, 2010 the last time I blogged on here was in February????  That was probably the last time I ate healthy for any consistent length of time too! LOL  Well, it's summer vacation and I'm thinking I would love to go back to school in the fall 20 pounds lighter.  I don't think that's an unreasonable goal.  So, anyone else on board with me?????  Here's my new before picture for motivation!  Ugh!!!!  That's awful!!!!!

Sunday 2-21-10 Check in

Last week was not our best week.  So what can we do so that the trend doesn't continue for next week?  I'm going to try to be more meticulous in counting my points.....although I think I counted them pretty good last week.  I just ate too many of them!  LOL  What are you guys going to try this week?

I just know I'm going to Grizzly Jack's in two weeks and I don't want to look like this......

My Epiphany

I realized something today.  The Meridia is actually causing me to eat more.  You heard me.  The Meridia is giving me a serious case of cotton mouth and because of that, I keep wanting to put food in my mouth.  The best solution is to just stop taking it.  I was doing better before I started taking it.

2-18-10 Check In

Hi guys!  Hows it going.  I try to check in here once a day, but I haven't had the motivation to write anything.  Okay, I'm LAZY.

 I started taking Meridia on Saturday, and I proceeded to eat bad on Saturday, Monday, and I have been sneaking a fun size Twix or two from the candy jar at school.  Seems like I'm doing worse on the medication.....or is it that I've just hit a dieting wall.  I don't know.  I'm going to continue to take it for a few more weeks and see what happens.  How is your week going?

Thursday 2-4-10

How's it going?  I've been doing pretty good.  My scale keeps showing 205.6, which would mean I've lost a pound, but I hope it still shows that on Saturday.  I've been basically eating what the family is eating, just watching the portions and counting the points.  I don't feel so deprived.  I really think it's just going to be slow going this time around.

Wednesday 2-3-10

Really discouraged today. I stepped on the scale this morning to find that I have gained 2 lbs since Friday. I haven't been eating bad. It either is the fact that I have a visitor or the medication I am on. I don't normally gain more than a 1/2 lb so I am thinking it is the medication. I keep hearing horror stories from a couple people I know about gaining 20 lbs or more from this medication. I am going to give it a week and see what happens. If I keep gaining weight I am going to have to talk to my doctor. I've been working too hard to gain everything back.

I thought we did really good on Sunday.  Unfortunately I pigged out on pizza last night.  Apparently pizza is my weakness.  Who'd have known?  Papa Joe's has 1/2 price Mondays during football season....irresistible.   I should have controlled myself, but I didn't.  I better be immaculate for the rest of the week.

Thursday 1-28-10

My parents and brother took us out for dinner yesterday to celebrate our birthdays. I only had salad, baked chicken and a 1/2 cup of soup. It was a pizza buffet so I am really proud of myself. Saw the cardiologist today. They finally have some answers for me. I will fill you in Sunday. Nothing too bad just have to go on medication. The only thing is that this medication is supposed to cause weight gain. Great! Just what I need.

Of course last night of all nights my car got a flat tire on the way home. It was late and crappy out. I was sitting right across from a McDonalds while waiting for Ed to come help. I so wanted to go over and get something terrible for me. But I resisted. Don't ask me how but I did. Completely off the subject... I was thinking of making a sandwich ring and big chef salad for Sunday. What do you guys think?

Okay, so we had a bad week.  We move on.  Our walk today us some points back.  I think our goal this week is to really stick to our points, including counting our weekly bonus points.  Here's to a better to cheer you up.............

I was really good yesterday. I avoided all the goodies at my second job and had a smart one when I got home. Today I had oatmeal (good for lowering cholestrol) for breakfast and Santa-fe chicken soup for lunch. So far so good. Hopefully I can be good once I get home. It is so much easier to cheat when I am at home.

1-17-10 Sunday

I was terrible last night!  Just terrible....I was upset for a few reasons.  One being that I only lost 0.2 pounds this past week, among other reasons.  I made homemade popcorn with butter, and at a Hershey bar with it.  I also ate a bowl of ice cream.  I'm going to try really hard to recover today.  Can't let it throw me.  It's going to be hard since I'm going to that get together at Stacey's later and there will be lots of goodies.  How's it going with you guys?

Check in 1-16-10

Okay, so this week was kind of a reality check for most of us.  It is a little disheartening when you think you are pretty good all week and then you only lose 0.2 pounds.  Ugh!  All we can tell ourselves is that we reduced the right number of calories this past week and our body just hasn't caught up yet.  We will be pleasantly surprised next week.  Just gotta keep it up.  I counted those 3 cookies I ate after weigh in, but I just ate a salad for lunch.  I'm gonna keep it together.  I really really am.  We can do this!!!!!!

Did you make it through the weekend?  I kinda pigged out on Saturday, but I was super good Sunday, so it balanced out.  I think I even managed to lose another half pound.  I didn't work out on Sunday though.  Guess I gotta make it up sometime during the week.  Ugh.  How are you doing?????

Great Week!!!!

Congrats chickies!  We had a great week!  We lost a total of 22.4 pounds, and that's not including Becky yet.  I think I feel stronger than ever and more committed to this than I did last week.  Yay us!!!!!  Have a great week. Day 3

How are ya doin?  I did fine.....then I picked up a salad for myself, and then ate some fries while driving home.  Ugh.  Well they were really good, and I counted them....had to dip into  my weekly bonus points.  I don't know how I'm going to work out during the week.  I'm too friggin tired when I get home, but I am not getting up at 5 a.m to do it either.  Maybe tomorrow night, if I don't bring a bunch of work home.  Oh well, I'm off to my Twilight blog.  :)

Day 1 Check in

So, how is everyone doing?  So far, so good?  Well, me, Barb, Robyn and Lauren worked out this morning to Kathy Smith Step.  So far, I'm sticking to my points.  It's not too hard, yet.  I don't want to get too cocky....there is frozen pizza in the oven right now.  I swear, I will measure it!  So maybe one of us could post a check in each day just to see how everyone is doing, and the rest of us can post underneath it.  Whoever gets to it first....kay?
