Kick Off Week Day 2 - Thursday

Drink plenty of water.

This sounds so simple, but you would be surprised at how often we go a day and realize we have had little to no water.  

Too much soda in place of water is also a big issue. 
It tastes good but we all know it's really not that good for us, even if we drink diet.

Here's how I overcome this obstacle.

- Set a goal of the amount of water you are going drink each day.

- If you make your water goal by dinner time, enjoy a soda.  

- If you didn't make your water goal by dinner, then no soda.

Another compromise is to drink sparkling water.  It gives you the bubbles like soda, but it has no calories, sodium or any other of that bad stuff.  I really like drinking LaCroix.  It comes in many flavors and it's better than diet pop.

When you are trying to get rid of extra weight, flushing your body out daily with water is a big help!


  1. Well here I am on day two and feel better already. I have in fact boosted my water intake. I've also made sure to reduce my carb intake and replace it with more protein. I used the elliptical bike twenty minutes yesterday and thirty minutes today. The only slip I made was during a weak moment, I had two pieces of chocolate, they were Godiva left over from a Christmas gift. I just couldn't throw them out. So instead I'm going to walk another fifteen minutes right now.
    All in all, I feel great so far.

    I drink about 40 ounces of water during the day. a majority while I'm at work, it's not unusual for me to drink 4 bottles of water bc of the heat in my office. I finally quit soda again, but maybe that LaCroix will keep me from breaking and drinking soda

  3. I wish I could drink that much water at work, but it's really hard to get to the bathroom. And the amount of times I would have to go, it would be embarrassing to have to ask someone to watch my class each time. So I drink sparingly during school, but then I kick it up on the car ride home, knowing I'm heading home and to a bathroom. :) I do feel better when I drink my water. If I don't, I get headaches and feel crappy.

    1. Yesterday I to drink I had: 3 and a half bottles of water, 1 Snapple ice tea, a huge freaking iced green tea... and that was all b before dinner. I went to the bathroom at least 10 times lol... that was before the alcohol. I know bad for the diet but the once isn't going to break me.

  4. I'm def gonna check that water out. Drinking enough water is one of my major downfalls. When I get home after work, I fill a ginormous cup with ice water and make sure I at least drink that much. Oh! I also did 2 miles on the treadmill last night...roughly 35 minutes. I would've gone longer, but my kindle was being a spaz and the text to speech feature is being...well, a spaz...and I really wanted to read!!

    1. Even just 10 minutes a day is enough to make a difference, 35 is really good :-)
