Checking in.....

Hey everyone!  Just stopping by to check in and see how you are all doing.

School is kicking my ass, so my blogging has definitely taken a back seat.  I've decided that I'm not going to stress about it.  If I have something to blog about, I will.  If not, then....oh well.

Anyway, I do have something to blog about!

I just wanted to share some news.  A few weeks ago, Alli posted a link on their Facebook page saying that they were looking for 300 participants who would be willing to take Alli for 5 months and be willing to participate in an online support community.  In return, if accepted, the participants would receive a 5 month supply of Alli for free.

I have tried Alli in the past, and despite all of the horror stories you may have heard, I did not have any of the horrible side effects.  Honestly, the side effect only affect you usually if you eat more than 15 grams of fat in one meal.  Believe me,  the possibility of having an incident of bowel leakage, will keep you on the straight and narrow!!!!  My biggest problem was just remembering to take it.  So anyway, I went ahead and filled out the application, and guess what?  I'm sure you already have!  I was accepted.  I'm really excited!

So while I am waiting for my free Alli, I did have some left from using it before.  So as soon as I was accepted, I began taking it again.  And I'm happy to say that I have lost nearly 2 pounds.  I know it doesn't sound like much, but the way it's been going for me lately, it's a triumph.

How are you doing these days?

  1. That's really cool! I wanted to try Alli but I'm not a fan of taking pills. I've done Slimfast and Special K each for only a few months. But I don't honestly know if either of them worked or not.

So far though I'm down to the size I was when I graduated HS 12-13. I want to lose like 5-10 more pounds so I can be a healthy size 10-11. That would put me at about 145, I'd be comfortable with that. At anything less I don't think I'd be happy.

Keep us up to date on your progress with Alli. I hope you see the kinds of results you're looking for.

  2. I'm with MrsKassieCullen, not a fan of bills and such. But if it works I'd
give it a try. Let us know.
I've been limiting my carbs, not all of them, only the breads, sugars...
I've lost 3 lbs. I'm hoping with school, I'll be running around more, getting off my ass, and I'll lose even more.
    Good luck all.

  3. @kassie - I agree with you....anything less would not be comfortable. I hope I can get down there some day too.

@Fran - great job on the 3 lbs.!!! I definitely think school helps. Keeps you too busy to really eat! Although, if I'm not careful, I can fall into that convenience food trap which is usually not healthy. So far so good though.

  4. 2 pounds is awesome!! I was doing so good a couple of months ago...eating healthy, doing C25K (a running/walking app), and working out to The Shred (exercise DVD by Jillian Michaels)...and then my Granny passed away. It just went down hill from there...like a nose dive down a 90 degree hill. Srsly. So, I'm just getting back on track...too late to make a difference before I meet a bunch of people for the first time in FORKS or for my cousins wedding in 2 weeks, but I can't postpone it any longer and I just decided now was as good of a time as any. I'm just trying to eat REALLY healthy/low-fat/no-sugar, it's kinda drastic, but I have a wedding in 2 weeks. I also started back exercising...walking at the track and riding my stationary bike. I just keep telling myself that every little bit helps.

I'm thinking we need to revisit the IRWTSMN diet and get some incentive from His Holy Hottness. ;)

Keep us posted on how you do on the Alli!
